I have a lot of meshes that I haven’t used yet lying dormant on my hard drives. GB of meshes! It is a pity that they do not serve me. I started some maps and I work on them from time to time but I lack inspiration. In any case, I have no reason to rush.
The fact that I’m not supported by the community at large or by my followers here, on Facebook and YouTube doesn’t entice me to share anything at all. However, it is not difficult to like posts or videos or a page. However, it still seems like it’s too much to ask of everyone who prefers to like and comment on animal videos or funny stuff than thanking a passionate author who lets them have hours of fun for free. This is very disappointing.
I’ve many updated to my YouTube channel since my first post. There is a link in the main right side bar that will lead you there.
All my levels have now a video of them. It can be tricks, matches or simply me browsing the environment alone. As I said before, these videos are a supplement. Those could help give older players a taste for replaying UT4 on levels other than those offered by default. Even new players will be able to appreciate the diversified and unique side that all these levels offer them for free even if on my side, many of them cost me real money 😮
I already received many comments, all positive so it make me happy 🙂 Adding a “like” and writing a comment are always the best way of showing appreciation and support for content creator 😉
Since october 2011, I have a YouTube channel, which I didn’t really put into use. I decided to record a video for each of my levels, nothing too complicated to then send them to YouTube. Which will allow me to effectively use my long-neglected YouTube account 🙂 There is a link in the main right side bar that will lead you there.
Although each level, in its page, already has images as well as all the description, these videos are a supplement and can be simply a short presentation of my levels, or tricks to draw strategic advantages from them or a game played, just where you can see some tricks in action 😀
In fact I do these uploads so that the game and my levels get more visibility. I’m ±60% done. This could help give older players a taste for replaying UT4 on levels other than those offered by default. Even new players will be able to appreciate the diversified and unique side that all these levels offer them for free even if on my side, many of them cost me real money 😮
This month, there is over 1 000 Marketplace assets on sale for 50% off 😀 I’ve bought this really awesome SciFi / Industrial kit 2.0 pack from my favorite list which feature 1 400 static meshes (SM)! I first thought it was a typing error, because 1 400 is a freaking huuuuuuuuuuuge number of assets, but it really is 1 400 😮 For 52$, tx included, it’s really a good bargain for this amount of HQ assets 🙂
Now, since the pack isn’t compatible with 4.15.0, I can’t just migrate the assets, I must export from UE4.2x and import all the assets (SM, textures, etc.) in the UT Editor, recreate all the materials which will be a extremely long process. But, I’m not in the hurry 😉
Today, I’ve bought several sci-fi packs. There is actually a good discount for the packs that I was interested from a VERY long time so with the November cost reduction, I could buy few packs 😀 It cost me more than 200$ CA! Therefore, I’ll have awesome sci-fi assets to play with for creating new levels 🙂
Now, I must import all that to UT4… and as always, it will be a very long process, longer than anything I’ve imported before because I bought 4 packs which individually have A LOT of assets. Anyway, it’s not like I’m in the hurry lol 😉

For some time now, when I use the UT4 editor, my PC often restarts for no known reason 😦
I performed a battery of hardware tests to find the source of the problem. I even reformat my SSD, reinstall Windows 10 Pro 20H2 with only Epic stuff, but unfortunately, I couldn’t find anything. The problem persist.
With the release of the new AMD products, I planned for 2021 to buy the parts needed to build another more powerful PC. Fortunately for me, but unfortunately for others, because of Covid 19, someone I know working in the aeronautic 3D modeling industry has to sell his workstation fast. He will have to move, sadly 😦 His workstation, which is roughly 2 years old has been custom ordered. Which makes this PC much more powerful than my current main PC and which costs me half the price that I had planned for my new system in 2021.
So I will replace my main PC with this workstation making small adjustments, my previous main PC will become my “new” HTPC, and my current HTPC will be sold.
I will be able to get my workstation this week end, yééééééééé 😀
