Welcome to Stevie’s corner !!
At the beginning…
First, a player. I played Unreal in 1998. At that time, I was 26 and was automatically addicted to that game! Then, jumped to UT when it came out in 1999 and play all following UT’s. Except clan based levels, I can say I’ve played pretty much every custom levels that as been released since UT99 to UT3 on Beyond Unreal forums and Epic forums, which, all combined, is well, hummm… a lot 😮
Second, a tester. Since UT99, I test UT stuff, helping the community. I often had the opportunity to play magnificent levels for private testing. Sadly, many didn’t get release to the public. I was many times approached by level designers / MOD leaders to help them by contributing in a way or another. For example, I was very implicated in all Unreal Old Friends map packs for UT3 🙂
After, a UT3 level designer. In October 2008, I started to play with the UT3 Editor. I just wanted to build something for my own fun and also to be able to understand why level designers couldn’t do this or that based on my feedback. In the end, I’ve made 20 levels for UT3 😀 While making levels, learned things that was important to me, I’ve decided to share my knowledge by making tutorials. So, I’ve become a tutorial maker.
When UT4 was officially announced, I started to play with the UT4 Editor. I’m still actively making levels for UT4 even if the game is officially abandoned since January 24 2023. You’ll find all my UT4 levels here. Since I create levels, I integrate all my UT experience in it, doing my best to create a unique piece that play well and look the best it can. Furthermore, I like to challenge myself, so each time I start a new level, I use different approaches when crafting the layout and each level must use a different theme, lighting scheme, colors, music, sounds effects, etc. When I reuse some stuff, I change the materials properties so it doesn’t look or sound exactly the same.
For me, level design is a hobby. I make levels in my free time & I make them simply for the love of making them 🙂 I share my levels with everyone so that way, others can play something else than stock levels. Yep, I’m generous because many levels I create cost me real money by buying packs on Epic Marketplace! If you want to show your appreciation and support, add your ‘like’ to the level page and leave your appreciation by writing a comment 😉
As for Stevie’s corner, started as a simple post on Epic UT3 forums, it became extremely popular and many users suggested me to make a blog. I’ve followed their suggestion, then, Stevie’s corner blog was born in September 2009. After, it became a website. Stevie’s corner is dedicated to Unreal Engine, Unreal Development Kit (UDK) and also Unreal Tournament 99 / 2004 / III / 4. I love the Unreal universe! You understand that I’m in the Unreal word since 1998 and seeing so much stuff (private and public) I thought that I could share stuff that I classify to be way above the average. I promote / share others projects + share my own things. The goal of Stevie’s corner is to put everything I like in regard of the Unreal universe in 1 spot.
To finish… the guy real name behind Stevie’s corner is Steve Loiselle and my common username on most sites is Stevelois like on Deviantart. My native language is French. My English is very average but I do what I can to make myself understand.

Hi Steve,
You have a very nice collection of Unreal-related stuff! I just dropped by from the Unreal Tournament forums, since I recognized in you another faithful fan of the Unreal universe! I’ve been playing the Unreal series since 2000 as well, especially UT99.

Interesting to read how you went from a player to a Map – and tutorial maker. From 1998 you have 23 years of UT experience!
