Installation

Extract the archive into “My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Published\CookedPC\CustomMaps” directory. If this folder is not currently on your system, you can safely create it. The archive contains :

Details

I change / replace things from the day edition to create a completely new gameplay & a different atmosphere.

Take note that the Night Edition is visuals oriented. It include lot’s of emitters (fire, smoke, night flies) & also use a huge amount of dynamic lights. Those pretty visuals are very hungry on hardware resources. I did what I can to optimize the map but still you must have a powerful GPU to truly appreciate the atmosphere & visuals. Now that your advise, don’t complaint if your experimenting low FPS on your PC. Instead, if your experimenting to low FPS (like 30 or less), grab the ‘NE FPS’ edition which is gameplay oriented & as ± the same FPS as the day edition.

  3. Another map where the bots kicked my a$$ and i just can’t see sh*t at night. It’s a totally different atmosphere at night with stars, moon, “northern lights”, torches, darkness (of course), and different shadows. Had fun with this one also!

  5. The style and color are reminiscent of the first Quake game in these corridors yes. This is a very good homage to the good old days of the first ever true 3D fps, even though this was never his intention! 🙂
    The outdoor parts of this map(from what Steve’s shown me) is very different to the Quake style and gives good variety in this map so it should be a nice treat to those who don’t like dark gothic corridors!

    Expect another quality treat to the community from Steve! 😀
