Low Poly sci-fi levels

All the levels are designed using the Low Poly demo pack below. A Low Poly (LP) pack is a first for me, as no LP pack has interested me until now! This pack is truly fantastic, very well made, and offers different colors, which will allow me to create several levels that I’ve named Project A, B, C, etc. 😀

All levels are grouped on this page. Each one has its own layout, its own visual and sound characteristics.

LP promo video :

DM-LPA (Low Poly, Project A), black color.

  3. LPA

You took my 2 favorite colors and built a map around it! I know you were not particularly happy with lp maps but you really made these fun and I think they turned out beautiful and so much fun to play. But that is pretty much the expectation when you create anything! Thanks

I really love this map! It is unique! The layout is amazing, the lifts are incredible the way you have them functioning and the jump pads add so many great ways to move around the map. Placements of items is perfect! You really nailed this map! It is a masterpiece imo. Glad you released it!!

  4. These look great for Low Poly levels. LPA is, to me, the least interesting gameplay-wise. There’s not much z-axis and the layout is pretty basic rooms.
LPB is a great layout, however. It’s bigger and I had a lot more fun with this one.
But my favorite of these 3 is LPC. It’s an open air layout with lots of z-axis and jumps. It’s tricky to get used to for me, but I love playing it.

  5. Even though these maps have been created using low-poly assets, they all have an amazing amount of detail that we have come to expect in Steve’s maps. Plus, great gameplay enhances the already incredible visual experience.

LPA – Absolutely stunning and incredibly detailed, this map has a slick color scheme and lots of eye candy. Visually my favorite of the three, the orange highlights work extremely well with the black palette, and the details and the hum of the high voltage elements and the tease of the Hi-Tech Laboratory make for a great backdrop against the lively action promised on this level. With movement basically restricted to a horizontal plane, the relatively low ceilings make weapon choice much more important, especially for flak monkeys like myself, as there is less arc available for long grenade throws. Rockets and hitscan weapons will likely be the better option here for those long distance kills. Armor and health are well spread out, as well as ammo packs. Although recommended for two players, we have had some fast and fun games with up to five. 🙂

LPB – A tight little map with fast-paced action and good opportunities for vertical interplay. Another beautiful use of the low-poly pack, this time in a “clean room” laboratory setting. The multitude of steps combined with the white color scheme evokes a high-tech M.C. Escher drawing. The key to winning here is the armor vest, as whoever dominates its spawn point will control the most powerful defensive item on the map. The tighter nature of this level makes for good ricocheting splash damage. Plays FFA DM well with a maximum of three players.

LPC – Set against the backdrop of a remarkable nebula, this large map is the most “architectural” of the three, and has become my favorite of the LP maps to play. It pays homage to the Facing Worlds map with its long narrow layout and towers with platforms on the ends, but is also quite unique in its own right. Peering through the vast floor windows on the central promenade reinforces the consequences of falling off the map, for which there is ample opportunity with the lack of railings at various locations. There is so much to discover on this level that I sometimes forget about the damage amplifier and berserk floating above. The flak and rocket rooms seem to provide good protection from redeemer blasts. The jump to the shield belt also offers a quick getaway if the action at the RL becomes too intense. I like to follow players up to the redeemer platform to try and knock them off. Just be sure to grab the jump boots to help survive the fall in case things go poorly that far up. There is enough health when playing with smaller numbers, but be sure to seek out the health keg when with a larger group. Plays well with a minimum of three players.

The creator of these low-poly assets has made a great baseline pack, but it is Steve who breathes life into them with his creativity and hard work. Here he has realized a trio of maps that provide for a great range of gameplay options, as well as looking amazing as is the norm with his efforts. My highest recommendations for all three!
