Yep, you’ve read right everybody ! Epic Games is now making the entire mind-blowing Infiltrator content available for free to download and free to use in UE4-based projects 😀 All info available on the UE4 Blog 🙂 If you didn’t saw this very impressive Infiltrator demo back in GDC 2013, here it is :
Watching this week stream, I was amazed to see the Link Gun hi-poly renders! Seriously, YemYam modeling skills are fantastic 😀 Still, the colors aren’t set yet. As YemYam mentioned in the Link Gun dev thread “This is NOT the material look, although for the in game version we did stick with something similar yet more weathered, and of course logos and decals and stuff that bring the design some life. We kept it a little on the plain side because we loved all of the paint-overs and color variants so we want the default to be more plain and the custom skins/textures to be more extreme.” So now, the pretty renders 🙂
I constantly check for new UE4 tuts by Epic and many as been released since 4.7 and 4.8. Many tuts as been redone and new tuts as been made to reflect the 4.7 and up changes. Brief, I pass trough all Epic tuts and update all the links I have in my UE4 links (guide, tut) page. In all, 113 links and descriptions have been added / changed. It took me a considerable amount of time to be honest but at least, it is up-to-date 😀 Those are the changes I’ve made. Enjoy 🙂
A fabulous realtime visualization project by LeFx 😀 This is their second project. Their first was Loft. You can post your comments at the Epic thread here 🙂
It as been a very long time since Nobiax release a new free package. This new pack include 36 metal plates (1 diffuse + metalness for 36 normal maps). The diffuse is not copper, you choose the type of metal (copper, gold or whatever) in the color of the material in Unity5, UE4 or whatever engine you use. It goes from basic shape plates, to slightly sci-fi, to Victorian style 😀
You can found all info and comment at his deviantArt page and then download from there. Or you can also download the new metal plates textures pack from my GoogleDrive 🙂
I present you Eternity Benchmark made by Ben ‘Evilmrfrank’ Burkart 😀 For those who don’t know Ben, he’s in the gaming industry since many years and released many awesome custom maps for all UT’s. He always was in my top my level designer list 🙂
Eternity Benchmark Ben description : Eternity Benchmark is a high end benchmarking program I put together using a visual prototype I made a few months ago. I am releasing this for free to anyone interested! This benchmark is pretty straight forward, it offers a very large open valley and gives you the ability to fly through the entire area freely. It also includes a simple camera flythrough of the environment. Some may remember this from a video I put out a few months ago, it is mostly the same environment with a few minor changes. This is mostly built for higher end PCs but definitely interested in hearing what kind of performance people with different hardware get on the map.
For comments / feedback, etc you can go at his Epic thread.
I just discover Jeremy Baldwin. Jeremy Baldwin create visuals effects (VFX) and other stuff that I can describe simply as fascinating ! If you take the time to look the videos, you’ll understand what I mean 😀 All those VFX are free and available on his site under the Free Market Station section. He accept donation too. He also have an Epic thread which gather all the stuff he release.
As ever, those must have free VFX as been added to my UE4 resources page 🙂
