I’m aware of many game engines, like Crytek engine, EvE Trinity engine, ID Soft engine, Valve engine and knew some was “in house”. In this video, we discover some “in house” engine. Very interesting and well made video 🙂 These are Game Thirst top 5 game engines of the future 😀

From the author : In continuation with my first mod Naissance Jeux d’ombres released en 2007, NaissanceE is a short first person adventure in a big unusual world. Taking place in a primitive mysterious structure, the game mainly consists to explore and feel the deep and strong ambiance of this atemporal universe but platforming and puzzles sections will also enrich the experience. Loneliness, confrontation to gigantic architectures and imagination provided by philosophical journey in this lost area should enjoy players waiting for this kind of disturbing trip, lead by contemporary meditative music. For now the development progression is quite satisfying but a lot of work still need to be done, so public release should be somewhere in 2013.

Ah, this bring me back when I was teen, playing arcade and console games 😀 If you like retro 2D games with current gameplay and next gen gfx then those games are serious games to think of ! From the company :
Chaos Domain, a UE powered 3D run and gun retro game like for iOS. The game is highly influenced by run and gun games from 8-bit and 16-bit era, including Contra series, as well as titles like Abuse and Doom Troopers. The game is set on a huge spaceship occupied by chaos cultists, where the main character (who clearly looks like a hi-tech version of the god Anubis) must kill everyone in sight.
Speed Kills! draws inspiration from 90’s classics, where players must use weapons, power-ups, and superior driving skills to best their opponents. Traditional action-packed racing as we all like it. Old school stuff, powered by UDK. Players compete in various championships, ranging from bootleg rallies on the outskirts of the galaxy to big-league circuits set against the Goliath skylines of metropolis cityscapes. Players can purchase offensive and defensive vehicle upgrades, buy new cars, collect power-ups and earn bonuses.
