This level is finished since November 2013 and was supposed to be release exclusively with UOF Map Pack 5. Sadly, UOF Map Pack 5 for UT3 as been canceled. This is the standalone release of the map.

Another excellent map from Thrallala !

I had to opportunity to beta test the map since the level was supposed to be include in UOF Map Pack 5. As me, if your looking for a level that look beautiful, play well with lot’s of ambiance and custom stuff, you’ll be satisfy 😀 He’s one of my top mappers and sadly, this is his last map for UT3 😦

If you don’t know this mapper, it’s very simple, a Thrallala map = you must have it into your collection ! That’s all. 😀 The map is available at his homepage here and as also been release in those threads : BU, Epic, UOF.

This is the Pre-final version. It mean that it is now finish and by releasing it to the public I’ll make sure the map is bug free. You understand that this release is only to found and fix bug if any. I’m working on this map since few months now. I started to build it right after I’ve finished Greed-Mégane & DM-Mako L2 (those aren’t been release yet).

I decided to use a new theme. A mix of day / night theme with a orange (industrial / rusty) look. I’m using around 2500 brushes & still add some ! I’m trying to build a map with lot’s of complex geometry and I found it very hard ! The base (playable area) is 100% BSP with 100% custom materials while the exterior of the map (city below) are stock meshes with custom materials.

I’ve posted my WIP at this Epic thread so it’s easier to follow the dev.

I must say that once again, he made another excellent map ! I had to opportunity to beta test the map and the final is even better than the private release I’ve test a little while ago. Layout, pickups placement, lighting, music, ambient sounds, footsteps sounds, meshing, materials, custom stuff, subtle PP in some areas, everything is all there 😀

He’s one of my top mappers and he announce that this is his last map, sadly 😦
