CTF-Yaijm by XYZ8000 released

A new final map from XYZ8000 (aka DeathoX 8) as been released. Looking nice, lovely BSP work 😀

This map is the Capture the Flag conversion of my JB-Yaijm, which was created for the Jailbreak mod. The map is pretty much the same, but there are some cosmetic and bot pathing improvements. For those who haven’t played the original, this map is a medium-sized CTF map with plenty of routes and trickjumps, it is a bit more frantic than the traditional CTF maps. The recommended player count is 10-16 players, although it can hold pretty well more players/bots. It is build almost entirely with BSP, using the HourKraden texture set, so there shouldn’t be any performance problems. Enjoy.

CTF-Bird

Is a UT3 map and a response to one of my earlier levels, CTF-Vogel, as well as a commentary on the death of online communities. Like Vogel, Bird uses a set of textures created by Hourences and a similar color palette. There are even several unintentional design congruities around the bases. But by all measures it has overcome its predecessor.

The pictures posted on BU few days / weeks ago about this to be released map was very promising 🙂 He make really interesting & good looking BSP maps. I’ll try it out asap but I must say it look like a winner just by the pics 😀 From the author :

A map that represents a laboratory style visual theme set in the future, where plants and vegetation are being grown and cultivated. An outside view of the map represents a smog filled urban cityscape to counter the visual sci-fi/botanical theme that is evident in this map.
