School’s out, the sun is shining and summer is finally here, which means it’s time for Tripwire Interactive’s Annual “Summer Sideshow” event!

You all know how this works by now. We’re taking you all to the carnival – a Killing Floor carnival, of course. Last summer, you all had the chance to take a pleasant evening stroll around the sideshow tents, taking the time to view the exhibits, buy a snack – or become one.

Well, this year, we have a wonderful little ride for you. The Hellride. Normally, it is billed as a chance to take your loved ones on a light-hearted ride through Heaven and Hell, enjoying the cherubs watching benignly over you, or having the crap scared out of you by Dante-esque little devils. All very educational, naturally. Needless to say, “it all went wrong”. Again. So now you’re going to have to stroll through the Hellride on your own two feet, killing everything that moves. And if it scares you too much, there will NOT be any refunds!

In Verbis Virtus, a game made with UDK as now a demo for PC 🙂 I must say the visuals are stunning, atmosphere feel awesome and it sound great 😀

In Verbis Virtus is a first person view video game that mixes action and puzzle elements in a fantasy setting, in the game you play as a wizard who can perform spells pronouncing magic formulas. The innovation introduced by this game is in the control system: the player must use a microphone to cast spells by actually saying the magic words.

While playing In Verbis Virtus we find ourselves completely unarmed in a dark dungeon that hides many dangers. The only way to overcome the obstacles that you’ll find is to learn the secrets of the arcane arts of magic through books that the protagonist finds along his path. These tomes teach magic formulas which, if pronounced correctly, enable you to perform many spells. Using these powers in a creative way the player can solve puzzles, overcome traps and kill the enemies that try to hinder him.
