UTCC download stats

At the beginning of every year, I check UTCC download stats to see if it still worth it leaving my levels there. Well, the downloads aren’t too bad but not great neither :/ Of course, only the lucky ones have access to the newer versions of all of them, even then, 90% don’t leave a comment nor add their “like” to the pages 😮 I listed all levels but added a “0” since they aren’t on UTCC and I have no tools to count the downloads from Google Drive and/or MEGA 😦

Total = 10 906 all time accumulated downloads since the day I started to upload my levels there few years ago. Still, only 350 downloads in 2024 alone. Extremely poor number in comparison of earlier years 😦

Je crain que les stats continuent de baisser malheureusement , les joueurs de UT sont vraiment une niche j’ai l’impression ,et plus le temps passe sans projet officiel et plus les nombres diminuent . Il y aura toujours une poignée de joueurs , forcement , mais cela ne t’aide pas forcement à te développer . La passion se sent dans tes maps , tu as le soucis du détails et j’apprécie ce que tu réalises pour la poignée de curieux que nous sommes , mais je crain que tu ai toujours ce gout de doux amer dans la bouche , si je peux dire .

    1. T’as bien raison mon cher, nous sommes que quelques-uns maintenant à jouer à UT4. Si au moins les autres mappers qui me connaissent faisaient la promotion de mes maps, ça aiderait, sauf qu’il ne font rien, malheureusement 😦

      Les dernières fois que j’ai publié quoi que ce soit sur UT Discord, les autres membres étaient totalement indifférents à mes posts. J’ai donc presque arrêté de poster sur ces canaux.

      Comme tu l’as si bien écrit, c’est ma passion de créer qui me permet toujours de démarrer un nouveau projet, malgré ce goût amer 😀

  2. It’s sad that UT in general seems to be dead from a developer standpoint. I’m not sure we’ll ever see a new version. Thankfully, timiimit created his master server, or I’m not sure anyone would be playing anymore.

    I understand your pain as an artist. Unfortunately, as the other person commented, UT is a niche now and will probably continue to decline.

    I love your maps! Having discovered UT 4 recently after being a long-time fan of the older versions, your maps are a step above most.

      First, I notice since few days you have leave a comment on various maps you played, so for that, I THX you a lot, and greatly appreciate 😀

      Indeed, if UT4UU wasn’t there, UT4 would be dead 😦 So from a creator POV, it’s very sad the feedback is almost non-existent except when a player like you take the time to comment on post and pages 🙂

      Since you play UTCC very old SD versions, leave few comments more on the maps you like, then, send me a email and I’ll provide you the download links for all my HD maps 😉

      1. I’ve only had time to play a few maps so far since I got into UT4, but I’ll definitely leave some more comments as I do play them.

        I emailed you a few weeks ago but I hadn’t had time to really play much until this last week. But I’ll play more and leave more comments as I have time, and then follow up with the email in another week or two.

          I remember that few weeks ago, I respond to a user request for getting access to my maps, the email didn’t work? I received a message saying the email doesn’t exist, which didn’t make sense since I copy/paste the email 😮

          Also, look at my “tricks” videos on my YouTube channel so you can get the advantage 😀
