The Dark is an Action RPG for a solo university assessment the author made in 4 weeks. Programming and level design were done by himself. Character models were not created by him, but he made most of the other SM that are not the default UDK ones. The author is interested to hear peoples feedback on Epic. UnWheel 2 is a racing game developed on UDK. UnWheel 2 is a continuation of the UT2004 award winning mod called UnWheel, developed by “Shrimp” and the original UnWheel team. UnWheel 2 was developed by Steven Horton who did all the actual construction of the game assets and game environments, working on this first as a Ut3 mod, and tegleg who has worked the last year to make everything work on the code side, as well as a hundred other fixes and efforts.

I really like this kind of game 😀 Dead Block is Candygun Games first original IP for the downloadable games market. Presenting a fresh, unique mix of arcade action and strategy game play, Dead Block features creative zombie-fighting combat with a rock and roll twist 🙂

Dead Block focuses on innovative defensive gameplay in which the few remaining survivors, Jack Foster (a construction worker), Foxy Jones (a traffic warden), and Mike Bacon (a perpetually hungry boy scout) have formed an unlikely alliance to protect themselves from the invading undead. Hiding in various shelters around town, they avoid Zombies by building blockades, setting fiendish traps or …as a last resort… using their weapons to fight.

Another UDK project I follow since the first announcement on Epic forums, damn time pass so fast !

Brief, the game is made from another Indie studio. The game take place in a futuristic wild west that combines the favorite motifs of the classic western genre with scraps of an obliterated technocracy 🙂

I’ve saw the pics, but now I just watched the video. Damn !!! Not only the visuals are a huge WOW! but the atmosphere, style, characters, sounds are also astonishing. It’s like a merge of Manga & Blade Runner 😀

Now we can experience the full UE 3 with the latest DirectX 11 in all its HD glory 😀

As mentioned on PU; the demo was powered by three high-end graphics cards running in a multi-GPU setup, so we won’t be seeing games with this kind of graphical fidelity anytime soon, therefore Epic believe these are the kinds of visuals it expects from next-gen consoles…

I don’t post news like that since all other big news site do the job. This time is different, Epic celebrates the first UDK birthday with this new November 2010 beta release. The latest release includes this new demo map, along with a number of additional tweaks. I will definitely grab the UDK in a near future 😀
